Overview and Timeline for Obol RAF1

Obol’s first retroactive funding round (RAF1) will distribute 1M OBOL Tokens to builders who strengthen and promote the Obol Collective’s Decentralized Operator Ecosystem. You can find a full overview of the round here

  1. Project Applications (Feb 3 → Feb 10)
  2. Application Feedback (Feb 3 → Feb 17)
  3. Application Review Process (Feb 6 → Feb 10)
  4. Voting & Feedback (Feb 10 → Feb 17)
  5. Announcing Results (Feb 21)
  6. KYC & Grant Delivery (Until the end of March.)

Eligibility Criteria

Any project can apply for retroactive funding. Their ecosystem impact and value-add will be assessed via voting by the community of delegates.

Projects are considered eligible for funding if they have:

  • Developed or improved open-source tools, protocols, applications, educational resources, or any other initiative that increases the awareness of, participation in, and value of the Obol Collective’s Decentralized Operator Ecosystem.
  • Submitted an application on the RAF web application before February 10th, 2025 14:00 UTC
  • Compiled with application rules.
  • Confirmed that the project’s associated individual or business entity complies with Obol Association KYC requirements and does not reside in a sanctioned country

Evaluation - Impact Metrics

The Obol Collective has defined impact metrics to ensure more informed decision-making during funding rounds. The applicants should demonstrate and quantify the project’s outcomes.

  • Can I apply with two different projects?

Yes, one person can create several applications, as long as there is no overlap in the work. You will need to complete the Application process twice.
