ScopeLift & Obol: A Long-Term Technical Partnership
Our connection to Obol is both deep and long-standing. We collaborated with @oisin, Obol’s CTO, even before Obol was founded and have had the privilege of working with the team since the early stages of their roadmap.
We are strong believers in Obol’s vision to enhance Ethereum’s decentralization and security through Distributed Validator Technology (DVT). As a technical delegate, our primary goal is to leverage our expertise to ensure the Obol Collective’s governance framework is robust, secure, and future-proof.
Our Contributions to the Ecosystem
Here are a few examples of our work involving DAO governance and DeFi:
- Flexible Voting: A popular OpenZeppelin Governor extension (now incorporated into OZ) that allows token holders to participate in governance while their tokens are staked or used in DeFi.
- MultiGov: A flexible cross-chain governance solution, built in partnership with Wormhole and Tally to allow DAOs to manage assets and govern protocols on multiple chains from a single source of truth.
- UniStaker: Infrastructure built for the Uniswap Foundation to allow permissionless collection and distribution of protocol fees to UNI stakers.
- Umbra: A privacy-preserving payments protocol on Ethereum, Optimism, and other EVM chains.
Conflict of Interest Declaration
ScopeLift is an active delegate and contributor across multiple DAOs, including Uniswap, ZKSync, and Wormhole. We view this broad participation not as a conflict, but as a source of cross-ecosystem experience that can benefit the Obol Collective. We will proactively declare any specific conflicts should they arise in the context of a proposal.
