Public Forum to Wallet Link Verification

This thread provides an open verification tool for linking your forum account to your wallet address. It serves as a public utility for integrating onchain governance with forum activity and is available for anyone to use or adopt this on their own platform.

Instructions:

  1. Connect your wallet to your delegate wallet on obol.curiahub.xyz
  2. Link your forum account by entering your forum name.
  3. Sign a verification message to confirm your identity with your forum handle.
  4. Post the generated signature text:
    • Copy the message.
    • Go to the forum and post the generated signature text under this thread.
    • Verify

Everyone is welcome to use this thread for their forum-to-wallet verification needs.

Twenty-four hours have passed since we opened a ticket on Discord after the “automatic” verification failed, and no one has responded to the initial message. This isn’t an ideal user experience.

but apparently the person replying to the message doesn’t have three minutes of time to do it, so the person replying writes that the error is either with the name or signature on my side

Hey @cp0x @cp287, we’ve noticed that the delegate address you shared doesn’t currently hold any Obol Voting Power. Please note that possessing voting power is necessary for the system to consider it a valid delegate.

However, if you’ve only just acquired the voting power, please be aware that our system updates daily, so it may take up to 24 hours for the change to be reflected.

We appreciate you highlighting this issue. We are planning to update the UI to make the message more informative and clearly state the voting power requirement. Thank you for helping us improve the user experience.

Hey @Curia - would it be possible to map more than one forum account to a delegate wallet? (Might be helpful for delegate groups with multiple representatives)

Hey @Areta, thanks for the great question. That’s a valid point for delegate groups.

For now, we’re keeping it to one forum account per delegate wallet.

This is primarily to maintain the integrity of our forum score. By consolidating all activity to a single account, we can ensure the score accurately reflects a delegate’s contributions and is directly attributed to their wallet.

We do recognize the benefit for teams, however, and are open to exploring this in the future. Any future solution would need to ensure that contributions can still be cleanly rolled up to the single delegate wallet for scoring purposes.

For the time being, we recommend that delegate teams coordinate their communications through their single, designated forum account.
