Gm Jonathan here. I lived in California for 20 years. I studied CS at SJSU. Now Singapore’s home.
I’m with the Stakesaurus Home Staker Community. My background is Network Engineering and DevOps. I used to work at a small computer shop in Santa Cruz called Guenther Computers. I used to build my own PCs. Enjoyed helping others fix theirs.
In 2021, went down the crypto rabbit hole. Been mostly building on Ethereum and Solana. Currently, a DeFi Writer & Researcher with Blockhead. Just joined Eigenlayer as an AlphaEigener.
When I heard about this from @Stakesaurus and Anthony B. (@iDecentralized) I knew this is me. :->
Love to see how we can collaborate. I’m SianJon on Twitter and Telegram.
I read through the Obol grants program and completed the cost template breakdown. I created an account on Questbook but couldn’t find Obol in the grantee list to apply. Please help.
Happy to meet you and nice to see your interest. Our Questbook pages are not featured on the main Questbook page, but you can find all the links in our docs, in the corresponding grant tracks.

We have just applied with a proposal for an Obol Ecosystem Dashboard.
The lack of hard, reliable data of the Obol ecosystem puts the Collective far behind its competitors.
Today the Association, Labs, token holders, and node operators are making decisions almost blindly. It’s tough to know where we’re standing or where we’re headed.
Measurable impact is key for growth. As more contributors arrive and integrations multiply, we need to be at the top of our game.
Here’s an abstract:
Unified dashboard of Obol metrics: A single interface aggregates protocol, governance, squad, and DeFi data so every stakeholder makes faster, smarter calls.
Developer-ready subgraphs & API: Open, composable subgraphs feed a rate-limited API, giving builders ready-to-use data so they can ship apps, not pipelines.
Community owned: The dashboard is for and by the Collective, with open source code, docs, and monthly reports.
Hello, we have just applied on Questbook, here are the details:
Project Name:
Reputation Integration In Governance Forum
Questbook Proposal Link:
Grant Track:
Strengthening the Collective
Summary (2–3 sentences):
We propose integrating a Delegate Reputation Score into the Obol governance forum via a custom Discourse plugin to enhance transparency and trust in community discussions. This integration will be complemented by EtherScore badges, helping users better understand who they’re engaging with.
Milestone Plan & Cost Breakdown:
Team Info (1–2 lines):
EtherScore started during hackathons in 2021, we are now a 5-person team based in France (ranging from PhDs to work-study students). We release new badges every week, and today, 135,000 users have claimed over 1.42 million badges to build their onchain reputation.
Summary (2–3 sentences): The project develops Silver Techne operators through two offline workshops and six online webinars, including on-site (in English) hands-on training for 90-160 participants in the areas of distributed validators (DV). Building on the experience of certifying ~25 operators and an active Telegram group, we are creating a high-quality, repeatable training model that expands the Obol ecosystem.
Team Info (1–2 lines): Organizer with experience training ~25 Silver Techne operators and an active Telegram group that unites the community. Will bring in 1-2 DV experts for workshops and webinars, with a focus on localization and hands-on training.
Project Name:
Squad Staking For Perpetual Public Goods Funding
Questbook Proposal Link:
Grant Track:
Boosting DV Adoption
Summary
This proposal by the Greenpill Dev Guild aims to validate a pilot program that lowers two major barriers to Distributed Validator (DV) squad adoption: hardware costs and ETH bond requirements. By piloting an Obol-ready hardware discount , an ETH bond sponsorship and Techne Credential Pipeline for qualifying public-goods-aligned squads, the project will diversify and expand Obol DV participation. Successful outcomes will inform how the subsidies can be enshrined at the protocol level , accelerating community squad growth in the Obol network.
Milestone Plan & Cost Breakdown:
Team Info
The Greenpill Dev Guild is a collective of regenerative builders dedicated to advancing public goods through Web3 innovation. The Guild has a robust track record in facilitating workshops, developing regenerative tools, and strategically allocating capital across the regen ecosystem.
Operating within the broader Greenpill Network— a global, decentralized network-society composed of regional chapters and expertise-focused guilds— the Guild fosters positive-sum impact through collaborative action. Additionally, core team members serve on the council of Regen Coordination, a strategic partnership among Greenpill Network, ReFi DAO, CeloPG, and other leading regen communities, aimed at accelerating regenerative initiatives through shared knowledge and resources.
Project Name:
Delegate Reputation Score Oracle & Governance Data Infrastructure
Questbook Proposal Link:
Grant Track:
Token in DeFi & Governance
Summary (2–3 sentences):
We are building the official Delegate Reputation Score (DRS) Oracle, a critical infrastructure component required to implement OIP#4. This oracle will provide transparent, onchain delegate reputation scores, enabling the proposed reward mechanism for active delegates and empowering token holders to make informed staking and delegation decisions. Our work directly supports the long-term health and decentralization of Obol’s governance.
Milestone Plan & Cost Breakdown:
Team Info (1–2 lines):
Curia Lab is a dedicated team focused on strengthening decentralized governance through data analysis, engineering, and active participation. Our team has a proven track record of collaboration with leading protocols such as Optimism, Arbitrum, and Safe.
Axol is developing programmable context units that serve as continuous user access points in neutral community spaces. Our project also aims to define a protocol standard for Obol by delivering a free, open-source physical access point that serves as proof of attendance and operator verification, bridging real-world community engagement with Web3 infrastructure.
This is the Validation Cloud team here, we have just applied on Questbook.
Here are the details:
Project Name:
Obol DV Institutional API by Validation Cloud
Questbook Proposal Link:
Grant Track: Boosting Obol DV Adoption
Summary:
Earlier this year, Validation Cloud and Obol were unable to collaborate with a qualified custodian due to the lack of an API to support seamless distributed validator setup—highlighting a key infrastructure gap for institutional adoption. To address this, Validation Cloud proposes building an API that enables custodians, ETF/ETP issuers, and staking platforms to launch and manage distributed validators as easily as traditional ones, with full automation, auditability, and institutional-grade integration. This initiative directly supports Obol’s mission to drive institutional adoption and contributes toward its goal of securing 10% of the Ethereum staking market.
Team Info:
Validation Cloud is an enterprise-grade, SOC 2 Type 2-certified institutional staking platform known for its high-performance infrastructure and specialized institutional business development team. With extensive experience managing Distributed Validator Technology (DVT) clusters, Validation Cloud has successfully operated multiple Obol-powered clusters, including over 6,000 active validators for major collaborations like Lido and EtherFi. Our proven capability and robust operational experience position us uniquely to accelerate institutional adoption of distributed validators.
Summary (2–3 sentences):
We propose to research and eventually deploy a market for stOBOL to be used as collateral in DeFi.
Important note:
If at the end of this preliminary phase, we determine that deploying the proposed integrations (stOBOL/Morpho market, vaults) is not feasible or lacks ecosystem alignment, no further grant milestones would be requested or funded.
Team Info (1–2 lines):
Originally founded as a boutique engineering lab specializing in Uniswap V3 market-making, DAMM has evolved into a full-spectrum asset management firm. Today we provide our clients with treasury management, PoL (market making), alpha driven yield strategies, and general DeFi advisory. See more about founding team here
